Fleming Island Highschool Baseball Golf Tournament
Oct. 2022 – This year, the executive staff was approached about the sponsorship opportunity to support a golf event for the Fleming Island Highschool Baseball Team, for which an Elevated employee’s son is a player, and it was not only approved but turned into an employee appreciation event. This demonstrates our team’s desire to support one another both professionally and personally and is a great example of what it means to be part of the Elevated Technologies team. It means supporting fellow employees, their families, and the community at large.
On October 17th, 2022, the golf event took place at the Eagle Harbor Country Club in Fleming Island, Florida. The company sponsored travel for four employees for this worthwhile cause and after word spread through the company, four additional employees participated in the event at their own cost to offer support to their coworker.
Upon arrival at Eagle Harbor, the entire Fleming Island High School baseball team and their families greeted the Elevated staff. Players were spread out across the course and thanked our team members for their support as they played. Many of the Elevated golfers allowed the baseball players to drive their first shot and a few provided lessons on how to swing a golf club to players. Our operations manager reluctantly reported that a player’s drive went “a bit further” than his own!
The event was a huge success, with the generosity of many sponsors, including Elevated Technologies. In total, over $15,000 was raised through sponsorships, tournament participation, and raffle ticket sales. Elevated Technologies contributed approximately 25% of the total profits for the event. The funds raised will be used for field and facilities improvements, including covering the batting cages, adding new windscreens in the outfield, and updating audio equipment. Additionally, the funds will help equip the coaching staff with improved tools to increase player development, such as new pitching machines and video/analytic software.
Overall, a great time was had by all who participated and Elevated was proud to be able to support an upstanding group of student-athletes. The company will continue to take it to the next level in support of its staff, families, and communities. GO TEAM ELEVATED!
